Kwaku Obeng-Okrah has a Bachelor degree in the Social Sciences (Geography & Sociology) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana. He holds MPhil in Agroforestry (Socio-economics) from Institute of Renewable Natural Resources (IRNR) KNUST.

He holds an international certificate in Adaptive Management of Natural Resources from KNUST/ University of Wageningen, Netherlands. He has a solid understanding of developments and innovations within the rural certain in relation to agriculture, livelihoods and poverty reduction. He has 15 years of experience in natural resource management, agriculture and rural development sectors. Kwaku also has professional experience in academia in the areas of research and teaching, natural resource management, agriculture and rural development. Kwaku has also been involved with a number of consultancies for many local and international agencies. Areas covered under the consultancies include evaluation/impact assessment and baseline studies in socio-economics, agriculture, natural resource management, design and delivery of training workshops and capacity building.
